Jack Frances Johnson, 75, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2009, at DePaul Medical Center in St. Louis. He was born Dec. 6, 1934, in Fornfelt, Mo., to Harry J. "Jack" and Allie Francis Jennings Johnson. He and Joan Louise Hopkins were married April 11, 1953, in Kelso, Mo.

Jack worked as manager of Allstate Insurance, was part owner of Giddens-Johnson Insurance Agency and was a marshall at Jaycee Golf Course. He was a member of St. Vincent Catholic Church in Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include his wife, Joan, of Cape Girardeau; five sons, Roger, Mike and Robert Johnson, all of Springfield, Mo., Ken Johnson of Cape Girardeau and Jim Johnson of Boise, Idaho; a daughter, Cathy Fowler of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Kenny Johnson of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Ramona Estep of Chaffee, Mo.; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two grandchildren.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. Parish prayers will be at 7 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Vincent Catholic Church in Cape Girardeau, with the Rev. David Hulshof as celebrant.

Burial with full military honors will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
