Jack Dean Hatley, 68, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Dec. 3, 2010, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Sept. 11, 1942, in Corning, Ark., to Milford E. and Della Mae Ware Hatley.
He and Deborah Susan Crow were married April 12, 2004, at Gatlinburg, Tenn.
Jack received his master's degree in education from Southeast Missouri State University and was an educator in New Madrid County R-2 schools for 42 years, retiring in 2003.
He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a wife, Deborah Susan Hatley of Cape Girardeau; twin brother, Jerry G. Hatley of Hayti, Mo.; brother, Ron E. (Donna) Hatley of Jonesboro, Ark.; cousins, Ona Dean Denton of Corning and Rodney Barrett of Bentonville, Ark.; mother-in-law, Alice Crow of Parma, Mo,; brother-in-law, David Crow of Parma; sister-in-law, Melanie Crow of Parma; special pet, Adagio.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Payton Andrew Hatley, on March 12, 1993.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau.
The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Tom Sullenger officiating.
Burial will follow in Mounds Park Cemetery, New Madrid, Mo.
