FLIPPIN, Ark. -- Jack Wayne Followell, 80, of Flippin passed away Sunday, Oct. 4, 2015, in Yellville, Arkansas. Jack was born Aug. 16, 1935, in Morley, Missouri, to Howard and Mabel Riehn Followell. Jack married Priscilla Garnaat on July 9, 1983. Jack enjoyed hunting, spending time with his dogs and gardening. FLIPPIN, Ark. -- Jack Wayne Followell, 80, of Flippin passed away Sunday, Oct. 4, 2015, in Yellville, Arkansas.

Jack was born Aug. 16, 1935, in Morley, Missouri, to Howard and Mabel Riehn Followell. Jack married Priscilla Garnaat on July 9, 1983.

Jack enjoyed hunting, spending time with his dogs and gardening. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Bull Shoals, Arkansas, and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.

Jack is survived by his wife, Priscilla Garnaat Followell of the home; two brothers, Bill (Anne) and Marvin (Betty) Followell, both of Kalamazoo, Michigan; two sisters, Joanne (Paul) Kesterson and Betty Goode, both of Cape Girardeau; two grandsons; two great-grandsons; and numerous nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Terry Wayne and Jackie Allen Followell; three brothers, Jerry, Howard and Mike; and one sister, Mary.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Conner-Hankins Funeral Home and Cremation Center Chapel in Mountain Home, Arkansas.

Funeral services will be at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church in Bull Shoals, with pastor Jerry Backus officiating.

A second visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Langeland Funeral Home, 622 South Burdick St. in Kalamazoo.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Langeland Funeral Home Home. Pallbearers will be Donald Goolsby, Jim, Larry and Harold Followell, and Nathan and Jordan Garnaat. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Kalamazoo, with a luncheon to follow at Eastwood Fire Station in Kalamazoo.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Association for Down Syndrome, 1460 Renaissance Drive, Suite No. 405, Park Ridge, IL 60068.
