Jack K. Fleming, 92, of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Salina, Kan., and Sun City, Ariz., died Sunday, April 2, 2006, at the Lutheran Home.
Fleming was born Dec. 23, 1913, in Okmulgee, Okla., son of Francis and Lela Fleming. He and Lorraine Barrett were married September 4, 1938. She died in 1996.
He was a mechanic in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.
Fleming owned and operated Fleming Motor Co. in Salina, and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
After his wife's death, he relocated to a retirement community in Sun City, and was a member of the Presbyterian Church there. He moved to Cape Girardeau in 2004.
Survivors include three daughters, Sandra Wilhelm of Cape Girardeau, Kathleen Kugeler of Albuquerque, N.M., Constance Fleming of Bunker, Mo.; a brother, Francis Fleming, of Evansville, Ind.; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister.
A private memorial service will be held at the Lutheran Home.
McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau is in charge of arrangements.
