KEWANEE -- Funeral service for Izra Wesley Vines of Kewanee will be held at 2 p.m. today at Kewanee Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. Jerry Dudley will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery at Sikeston. Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Sikeston is in charge of arrangements.

Vines, 78, died Monday, Aug. 17, 1992, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

He was born Dec. 29, 1913, at Matthews, son of William and Iva Wilburn Vines. He and Jessie Smith were married Nov. 10, 1941, at Charleston.

Vines was a mechanic with Kewanee Case Tractor Co. He was a member of Kewanee Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Faye Medley of Kewanee; a sister, Opal Crosswhite of Burnt Ranch, Calif., and two granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and a grandchild.
