CHARLESTON -- Ivy Pettigrew, 81, of Charleston, died suddenly Monday, May 18, 1992, in a doctor's office here.
She was born June 30, 1910, in Marianna, Ark., daughter of Will and Ida Rogers Hutson. She first married Ernest Rateliff, who died in 1949. She later married Clarence Pettigrew, who died in 1986.
Pettigrew had lived in Mississippi County more than 70 years. She was a member of Holly Grove Baptist Church at Wyatt and its Mother's Board, was a Sunday School teacher and usher.
Survivors include a daughter, Arcola McCauley of Charleston; a sister, Bertha Hortan of Charleston; five grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four children.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Matthew's Baptist Church. The Rev. T.R. Tyus will officiate, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call at Sparks Funeral Home from 7-8 p.m. Friday.
