Ivest "Pete" Goad, 92, 417 S. Ellis, died Monday, Jan. 23, 1994, at St. Francis Medical Center.
He was born May 3, 1901, at Tillman, son of W.M. and Parsetta Bollinger Goad. He and Regina Simpher were married Aug. 24, 1924. She died Sept. 7, 1984.
Goad owned and operated Quick Service Garage a number of years, and had been a mechanic at Midwest Dairy. He was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral.
Survivors include a daughter, Helen Gammon Reeker of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Bill Goad of Illinois; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by two sisters.
Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Cathedral. The Rev. Glenn Eftink will officiate, with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be at 7.
