Ivan Dale Underwood, 79, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Oct. 12, 2007, at his home.
He was born Jan. 8, 1928, in La Valle, Mo., son of Henry and Ethel Jackson Underwood. He and Helen Thomason were married Sept. 27, 1986.
Underwood was a truck driver with Valley Steel. He was a member of the Community Church in Marble Hill, Mo.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Darrell Underwood of Cape Girardeau, Gary Underwood of Hidden Valley, Mo., David Underwood of Jackson; five daughters, Carolyn Allbritton and Lisa Dillingham of Cape Girardeau, Sandra Housley of Seneca, Mo., Linda Bordeaux of Albuquerque, N.M., and Debbie Brown of Jackson.
Also four brothers, Elvis and Dale Underwood of Cape Girardeau, Milford Underwood of Searcy, Ark., Raymond Underwood of Pocahontas; two sisters, Verna Coriadan of Oak Ridge, Wanda Underwood of Jackson; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Diana Cook and Lex Horner officiating. Burial will be in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery.
