Ivan Kenneth Klughart, 86, died Monday, Jan. 2, 2006, at Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.

He was born March 26, 1919, at Illmo, Mo., son of John J. and Rosa Mae Jackson Klughart. He and Irene Marie Springer were married Feb. 9, 1947, in Illmo.

Klughart was a fireman with the Cotton Belt Railroad. He was a veteran of the United States Army during World War II. He was a member of Eisleben Lutheran Church in Scott City, VFW Post 6407 in Scott City and United Transportation Union.

Survivors include his wife, Irene Klughart; one son, Chuck Klughart of Sparta, Tenn., five grandsons, Charles Klughart Jr. and Chris Klughart, both of Scott City; Nathaniel Klughart of Sparta, Tenn., Charlie Klughart and Jon Klughart, both of Baxley, Ga., one great-granddaughter, Olivia Klughart of Scott City; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City from 5 to 8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Bob Azinger will officiate, with burial in Lightner Cemetery in Scott City.
