PERRYVILLE -- Ivan E. Grebe, 67, of Crosstown, died Friday, Jan. 7, 1994, at Crosstown.
He was born at Whitewater April 13, 1926, son of Christopher and Nellie Proffer Grebe.
He was married to Edna Strobe, who preceded him in death. He then married Norma P. Perry Darnell on July 13, 1962. She survives.
Other survivors include two step sons, James Darnell of Fredericktown and Clarence "Skip" Darnell of Perryville; a step daughter, Vonna Garifo of St. Louis; a brother, Glen Grebe of St. Louis; one step sister, Alberta Schlimme of Whitewater; and two half sisters, Loralee Eaker of Florida, and Mabel Henneke of Jackson, 10 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two half sisters and one great grandchild.
He was an assembly line worker at General Motors. He was a member of the United Auto Workers Union at General Motors. He was also an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Service will be held at Young & Sons Chapel today at 7:30 p.m., with the Rev. Alvin Mathes officiation. A graveside service will be held Monday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Mathes officiating. Burial will be in Methodist Church Cemetery at Gordonville.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 9 p.m. today.
