ADVANCE, Mo. -- Ivan Louis Buttry, 83, of Advance passed away Thursday, July 14, 2011, at his home. He was born Jan. 30, 1928, at Sturdivant, Mo., son of Raymond "Buck" and Sarah Storz Buttry. He and Leta Faye Payton were married in February 1949 in Corning, Ark. She preceded him in death May 16, 1961. He and Joan Mehas were married Aug. 18, 1961...

ADVANCE, Mo. -- Ivan Louis Buttry, 83, of Advance passed away Thursday, July 14, 2011, at his home.

He was born Jan. 30, 1928, at Sturdivant, Mo., son of Raymond "Buck" and Sarah Storz Buttry. He and Leta Faye Payton were married in February 1949 in Corning, Ark. She preceded him in death May 16, 1961. He and Joan Mehas were married Aug. 18, 1961.

Survivors include a son, Gregory Buttry of Jackson; three daughters, Karen Rodgers of Advance, Charlotte Honeycutt of Fayetteville, N.C., Rohondra Walker of Marble Hill, Mo.; an adopted daughter, Libby Bell of Clinton, Iowa; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Eric Schrum officiating. Burial will be in Puxico Cemetery at Puxico, Mo.
