EAST PRAIRIE - Iva Mae Grimes, 80, of East Prairie, died Friday, Sept. 6, 1991, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, following an extended illness.

She was born Oct. 3, 1910, in Mississippi County, daughter of John and Gertrude Wright McCarty. On July 3, 1937, she married Charles H. Grimes.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters Ruby Bain of East Prairie, Ella Johnson of Festus; two sisters, Anna Countess and Velma Johnson of Charleston; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Chapel in East Prairie. The Rev. Burl Britt will officiate, with burial in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
