IVA M. STEPHENS

DEXTER -- Funeral service for Iva Mae Stephens of Dexter will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Chapel in Dexter, with the Rev. Hank Foster officiating. Burial will be in Bloomfield Cemetery at Bloomfield.

Stephens, 85, died Saturday, Jan. 14, 1995, at Vintage Villa Nursing Center in Dexter.

She was born April 30, 1909, near Bloomfield, daughter of Thomas J. and Addle Chasteen Evans. She and T.J. Stephens were married July 5, 1925, at Bloomfield. He died Feb. 14, 1979.

Stephens had lived at Dexter the past 20 years, and was a member of Bloomfield Methodist Church.

Survivors include a son, T.J. Stephens Jr. of Dexter; two daughters, Irma Jackson of Dexter, Francis Price of Kerrville, Texas; two brothers, Elvis Evans of Dayton, Ohio, George Evans of Central Point, Ore.; 14 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, five brothers and five sisters.
