Iva M. Fee, 95, of Cape Girardeau passed away Monday, March 30, 2015, at Ratliff Care Center.

She was born Feb. 1, 1920, in Perry County, Missouri, to John F. and Ida Bleche Schnurbusch. She and Adolph A. Fee were married June 15, 1942, in Cape Girardeau. He preceded her in death Aug. 15, 1992.

Iva was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She worked for Drs. Hugh Vincent Ashley Sr. and Hugh Vincent Ashley Jr. 37 years. She later worked as a receptionist at Ford and Sons Funeral Home.

She was an active member of St. Mary Cathedral. She truly believed in the power of prayer and will be remembered as offering prayers for the needs and concerns of family and friends. Iva had been active in Council of Catholic Women, Church Women United, Friends of Saint Francis Medical Center Auxiliary, a past member of River City Business and Professional Women and Daughters of Isabella.

She leaves behind four daughters, Patricia (Art) Rigor of Chicago, Marilyn Bell of Cape Girardeau, Sharon Larson of Portland, Oregon, and Nancy (Rodney) Cox of Marietta, Georgia; 14 grandchildren, David (Nympha) Rigor, Ann (Bob) Basil, Peter Rigor, Joshua (Sarah) Rigor, Gabriel (Aya) Rigor, Matthew (Rose) Rigor, Sarah (Jim) Mitchell, Darren (Denise) Bell, Jennifer (Steve) Coy, Stephanie (Jay) Stencel, Katie (Steve) Cundy, Clayton Cox, Kelsey and Connor Buerstetta; two sisters-in-law, Tillie Boswell and Lee Fee of Cape Girardeau; and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a sister, Ruby Brasca; a brother, Ralph Schnurbusch; and a son-in-law, Bill Bell.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Sprigg Funeral Home. Parish prayers will be at 6 p.m.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Allan Saunders officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Southeast Hospice, 10 Doctors' Park, Cape Girardeau, MO 63703, Notre Dame Regional High School Foundation or St. Mary Cathedral, 615 William St., Cape Girardeau, MO 63703.
