SIKESTON -- Funeral service for Itell McCormick of Sikeston will be held at 2 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Virgil Porter Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Matthews Cemetery.
McCormick, 70, died Sunday, April 24, 1994, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
She was born March 27, 1924, in Matthews, daughter of Aaron Burr and Strowdia Bell Kirby Mills. She and William Henry McCormick were married April 26, 1942. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include six sons, Terry and Bill McCormick Jr. of Sikeston, Cecil McCormick of Manchester, Tenn., Roger McCormick of Corpus Christi, Texas, Leslie McCormick of Ocala, Fla., David McCormick of Oakley, Ill.; nine daughters, Gladys Lieurance, Shela Mays, Jane McCormick, Deborah Arnold, all of Sikeston, Lana McCoy of Riverside, Calif., Della Coram of Sieverville, Tenn., May Laster of Hayti, Monica Nelson of Cullman, Ala., Sherry Butram of Barnhart; two brothers, Aaron Mills Jr. of Gilbertsville, Ky., Ron Kirby of Farmington; a sister, Lucille Harding of Las Cruces, N.M.; 34 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sisters.
