Isabelle Palsgrove, 77, of Cape Girardeau, died Monday, July 15, 1996, at her home.
She was born Oct. 12, 1918, at Monett, daughter of Roscoe and Ella Brinkman Brooks. She and Elmer Palsgrove were married Feb. 24, 1940, in St. Louis.
A graduate of Southeast Missouri State University, Palsgrove taught kindergarten and third grade at Jefferson School, retiring in 1978. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Michael Palsgrove of Crystal Lake, Ill.; two daughters, Sammy LaClair of Crystal Lake, Mary Farrow of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Minnie Diepenbrock of Bethany, Okla.; eight grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel, with Dr. Kenneth Moxey officiating.
