Isabelle L. Groth, 96, 701 Normal, died Monday, Sept. 5, 1994, at her home.
She was born July 17, 1898, in St. Louis, daughter of Aloys and Regina Bender Wurnitsch. She and Lee P. Groth were married Nov. 8, 1921, in St. Louis. He died in 1982.
Groth was a seamstress. She moved to Cape Girardeau in 1989 from St. Louis. She was a member of St. Vincent's Catholic Church.
Survivors include two sons, Lee Groth of Miami, Fla., Ralph Groth of New Athens, Ill.; a daughter, Evelyn Riley of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Julia Probst of Washington, Mo.; 21 grandchildren, and 38 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, daughter and sister.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday. Parish prayers and rosary will be said at 7.
Funeral mass will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Vincent's Church, with the Rev. Richard Lause officiating. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Jefferson Barracks Cemetery in St. Louis County.
