ANNA, Ill. -- Isaac D. "Ike" Sullivan, 66, of Anna died Sunday, Aug. 25, 2002, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. He was born Sept. 30, 1935, in Jonesboro, Ill., son of Dan and Velma Hancock Sullivan. He and Floy Stokes were married Feb. 22, 1958, in Anna...

ANNA, Ill. -- Isaac D. "Ike" Sullivan, 66, of Anna died Sunday, Aug. 25, 2002, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

He was born Sept. 30, 1935, in Jonesboro, Ill., son of Dan and Velma Hancock Sullivan. He and Floy Stokes were married Feb. 22, 1958, in Anna.

Sullivan worked on the river more than 50 years, and was a captain and master pilot. He was a member of United Missionary Baptist Church and Lick Creek Masonic Lodge 627 AF&AM.

Survivors include his wife; a son, James Sullivan of Creal Springs, Ill.; three daughters, Mary Strader of Knoxville, Tenn., Melinda Dunaway and Sarah Sullivan of Anna; three sisters, Mabel Moss of Marion, Ill., Mary Howell of Glen View, Ill., Jane Randol of Canton, Ga.; a brother, Steve Sullivan of Anna; and 15 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a grandson.

Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna after 6 p.m. today. Masonic service will be at 8 p.m.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Doug Bridgeman and Capt. Dan Brock officiating. Burial will be in Jonesboro Cemetery.
