IRMA LEWIS

Irma Evelyn Lewis, 83, of O'Fallon, formerly of Cape Girardeau, died Thursday, March 7, 1996, at Garden View Care Center in O'Fallon.

She was born Nov. 8, 1912, in Belleville, Ill., daughter of John Henry and Viola Phillips Nagel. She and Charles W. Lewis were married Aug. 24, 1935, in Chester, Ill. He died Jan. 8, 1979.

Lewis was a member of First Christian Church and Southeast Missouri Hospital Auxiliary.

Survivors include a son, Philip Lewis of California, Mo.; a daughter, Mary Heinbokel of St. Charles; a brother, John Nagel Jr. of Chester; a sister, Leitha Matechen of Orlando, Fla., and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. Saturday.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the chapel, with the Rev. James Zink officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
