Irline Brucker, daughter of the late Martin T. Menz and Magdaline Halter Menz, was born Dec. 10, 1923, in Oran, Missouri, and departed her life Friday, Jan. 1, 2021, at The Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau at the age of 97.
Mrs. Brucker was a former employee of Inland Shoe Manufacturing and Tri County In Home Services. She was a member of Guardian Angels Church and a resident of Advance, Missouri.
On Dec. 1, 1945, she was united in marriage to Eugene Fred Brucker. Mr. Brucker preceded her in death Feb. 26, 2017.
Survivors include two daughters, Jean Kathryn (Perry) Bollinger of Oran and Mary Jo (Lynn) Thompson of Advance; four grandchildren, Jarret (Darlene) Bollinger, Travis (Dena) Bollinger, Amanda (Brett) Ward and Brent (Leslie) Thompson; six great-grandchildren, Molly and Caleb Thompson, Adalyn and Evan Ward, Kathryn Bollinger and Olivia Grisso; also, one sister, Evelyn Wagoner.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Viola Moroni, Mary Jane Oliver and Virginia Lenard.
Eucharistic celebration will be held at 10 a.m. today at Guardian Angels Church in Oran. Interment will follow in the Guardian Angels Cemetery.
