SEDGEWICKVILLE, Mo. -- Irl E. Harriman, 87, of Sedgewickville died Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2009, at Madison Medical Center in Fredericktown, Mo.
He was born Aug. 8, 1921, in Highland, Wis., son of John and Alice Merusster Harriman. He and Isolene Wheeler were married Sept. 14, 1948, in Richland Center, Wis.
Harriman was a World War II Navy veteran.
He had worked as a truck driver for the Orange Machine Shop in Orange County, Calif. He was a member of the Elks Lodge in Anaheim, Calif.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Eugene Harriman of Paige, Ariz.; two daughters, Irene Palmer of Sedgewickville, Linda Tornberry of Paige; 10 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother and four sisters.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to service time Monday at Liley Funeral Home in Patton, Mo.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, with a grandson, the Rev. Harold Brauninger Jr., officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery at Sedgewickville with full military honors.
