MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Irene Elizabeth Trentham, 77, of Marble Hill died Sunday, Aug. 3, 2003, at her home.

She was born Sept. 13, 1925, at Crump, Mo., daughter of James Franklin and Emma Elizabeth Brase Williams. She and Clifton Trentham were married May 4, 1945, in Blytheville, Ark.

Trentham had worked in the family business, Trentham Sand and Gravel. She was a member and pianist at Marble Hill Family Fellowship Church, and she and her husband operated a teen center and gym at the church. She had been a foster parent 23 years. Prior to her marriage she was a teacher in rural schools.

Survivors include three sons, James Trentham of Oakland City, Ind., Jerry Trentham of Glenallen, Mo., Kenneth Trentham of Marble Hill; two daughters, Doris Denton of Beebe, Ark., Debbie Masters of Glenallen; two brothers, John Williams of Gordonville, J.F. "Junior" Williams of Whitewater; three sisters, Flora Wiseman, Mildred Helderman and Jean Green, all of Whitewater; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at Marble Hill Family Fellowship Church from 4 to 8 p.m. today.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in Hurricane Fork Cemetery.

Hutchings Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
