MARBLE HILL -- Irene F. Ross, 88, of Marble Hill died Tuesday, April 15, 1997, at Heritage Gardens Nursing Home in Jackson. She was born Aug. 25, 1908, in Bollinger County, daughter of Greene L. and Blanch Steele Myers. She married Guss Ross Aug. 14, 1944, in Mobile, Ala. He preceded her in death. She had worked as a secretary until retirement...

MARBLE HILL -- Irene F. Ross, 88, of Marble Hill died Tuesday, April 15, 1997, at Heritage Gardens Nursing Home in Jackson.

She was born Aug. 25, 1908, in Bollinger County, daughter of Greene L. and Blanch Steele Myers.

She married Guss Ross Aug. 14, 1944, in Mobile, Ala. He preceded her in death. She had worked as a secretary until retirement.

She had lived in the Marble Hill area with her nephew and niece, John and Judy Reilly, before going to the nursing home.

She was a member of Church of Christ Church in Rocksprings, Texas.

Survivors include two brothers, Glen Myers of Flint, Mich., andCharles Myers of Mt. Carmel, Ill.; and two sisters, Blanche Reilly of Glen Allen and Gertrude Walker of Belleville, Ill.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill.

Funeral services will be held today at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Michael Woods officiating.

Burial will be in Rocksprings Cemetery, where will be a Eastern Star service 2 p.m. Saturday.

Arrangements are by Nelson Funeral Home in Rocksprings.
