MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Irene A. Myers, 89, of Marble Hill died Monday, Jan. 8, 2001, at Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee, Mo. She was born Oct. 31, 1911, at Laflin, Mo., daughter of Edward and Lydia Ann Ramsey Hubbard. She and Charles "Chalk" Alexander were married in 1946. He died May 30, 1975. She and Dr. John J. Myers were married July 1, 1976. He died June 11. 1979...

MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Irene A. Myers, 89, of Marble Hill died Monday, Jan. 8, 2001, at Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee, Mo.

She was born Oct. 31, 1911, at Laflin, Mo., daughter of Edward and Lydia Ann Ramsey Hubbard. She and Charles "Chalk" Alexander were married in 1946. He died May 30, 1975. She and Dr. John J. Myers were married July 1, 1976. He died June 11. 1979.

Myers was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include a grandson, Tracy Welch of Scott City, Mo.; a granddaughter, Cindy Kahn of Benton, Mo.; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son.

Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill from 4-7 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Fred Ritter officiating. Burial will be in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery.
