IRENE M. PRESSON

Funeral service for Irene Marie Presson of St. Louis will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel, with the Rev. Jimmie R. Dace officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today.

Presson, 81, died Thursday, Nov. 10, 1994, at Memorial Home in St. Louis.

She was born Nov. 11, 1912, at Flat River, daughter of William Thomas and Hassie Flora Evans Thomure. She and Chauncey D. Presson were married Nov. 11, 1933, in Charleston. He died Aug. 9, 1981.

Presson moved to Cape Girardeau in 1980 from St. Louis, then to Charleston in 1987, and back to St. Louis in July 1993.

Survivors include a son, Robert Presson of St. Louis; a brother, Arno Thomure of East Prairie; four sisters, Doris Rule of St. Ann, Margie Burgess of Nashville, Tenn., Tena Hunt of East Prairie, Lena Presson of Marble Hill, and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son and three brothers.
