IRENE M. HOPPER

SIKESTON -- Funeral service for Irene M. Hopper of Sikeston will be held at 11 a.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Charles E. Buck will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Hopper, 78, died Sunday, Aug. 6, 1995, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

She was born April 2, 1917, in Anniston, daughter of Charles N. and Eva J. Bush Miller. She and Gilbert H. Hopper were married Aug. 16, 1939, in Sikeston. He died March 28, 1975.

Hopper was a member of First United Methodist Church and the National Organization of Retired Federal Employees. She was active in Heritage House Nutrition Center.

Survivors include two sons, Gil Hopper Jr. of Horton, Mich., Rick Hopper of Corvallis, Ore.; a brother, Harry Miller of Sikeston; a sister, Marie Miller of Sikeston, and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother.
