Irene J. Moore, 83, 329 N. Main, died Thursday, Jan. 19, 1995, at Southeast Missouri Hospital. She was born Sept. 26, 1911, in Egypt Mills, daughter of Karl and Dorena H. Hengst Meyer. She and Virgil Moore were married July 3, 1953, in Cape Girardeau. He died Sept. 15, 1992...

Irene J. Moore, 83, 329 N. Main, died Thursday, Jan. 19, 1995, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

She was born Sept. 26, 1911, in Egypt Mills, daughter of Karl and Dorena H. Hengst Meyer. She and Virgil Moore were married July 3, 1953, in Cape Girardeau. He died Sept. 15, 1992.

Moore was a shoe cutter at International and Florsheim Shoe companies 46 years. She was a member of First General Baptist Church and VFW Auxiliary.

Survivors include a brother, Clyde Sams of Cape Girardeau.

She was preceded in death by a sister.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. David Griesemer officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
