IRENE HUBBARD

EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. -- Funeral for Irene Louise Hubbard of East Prairie will be held at 1 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie. Larry Smith will officiate. Burial will be in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.

Hubbard, 81, died Monday, June 25, 2001, at her home.

She was born Aug. 22, 1919, in New Madrid, Mo., daughter of Luther and Birdie M. Baker Banks. She and William A. "Dick" Hubbard were married Nov. 28, 1938. He died Feb. 2, 1989.

Hubbard lived in New Madrid County most of her life, moving to East Prairie in 1994. She was a member of First Church of God.

Survivors include a son, W.A. Hubbard Jr. of Laguna Niguel, Calif.; two daughters, Dorothy Lancaster of Sikeston, Mo., Janie Esposito of Nevada City, Calif.; two brothers, Cecil Banks of East Prairie, George Banks of Bertrand, Mo.; two sisters, Mary Pool of St. Louis, Lucille Jernigan of East Prairie; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers.
