PERRYVILLE -- Irene Grindstaff, 83, of Perryville died Monday, April 7, 1997, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born March 31, 1914, in Scott County, daughter of Calvin and Amy Huey Spencer. She and Glen Grindstaff were married Nov. 21, 1940. He died May 10, 1972.
Grindstaff taught school many years and she and her husband owned and operated Patton Junction Feed Store, Grocery and Gas Station.
Survivors include three daughters, Glenda Fulton of Perryville, Ann Moran of Patton, Kathy Clark of Cape Girardeau; and three grandchildren.
Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Patton from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Kirby Grindstaff officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.
