Irene Gilliland, 93, of the Lutheran Home, 2825 Bloomfield Rd., died Friday, Feb. 5, 1999.
She was born Oct. 26, 1905, in Gordonville, the daughter of Christian and Anna Brenneke Willa. She married Newton Gilliland on June 28, 1923, in Marble Hill. He died Sept. 11, 1962.
She had worked at the Town House Inn for 20 years and was a housewife. She was a member of First Church of God.
Survivors include two sons, Newton Gilliland of Pocahontas and Lawrence Gilliland of Cape Girardeau; three daughters, Grace Wille of Jackson and Frances Lineberry and Kay Story, both of Cape Girardeau; 21 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sons, one daughter, three brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel.
Service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Roger Christianson officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
