BLOOMFIELD -- Funeral service for Iva Irene Aslin of Bloomfield will be held at 2 p.m. today at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home. The Rev. Kevin Eskew will officiate, with burial in Walker Cemetery near Bloomfield.
Aslin, 85, died Saturday, June 1, 1996, at Bloomfield Nursing Center.
She was born June 21, 1910, at Bloomfield, daughter of Jasper and Cora Edwards Poe. She and Homer Aslin were married Aug. 26, 1928, at Bloomfield.
Aslin worked several years at Buck Store, and was a member of First General Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Elvin and Richard Aslin of Bloomfield; a brother, David Poe of Alton, Ill.; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and a grandson.
