IRA S. FENIMORE

SIKESTON -- Service for Ira S. ("Rip") Fenimore will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Sikeston, with Rev. Charles E. Buck officiating. Burial will be in Sikeston City Cemetery.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel.

Fenimore, 75 years old, of Route 1, Benton, died Monday, Feb. 4, 1990 at St. Francis Medical Center.

He was born Dec. 4, 1915, in Bertrand, son of Robert Linus Fenimore and Martha Elizabeth Randol Fenimore.

He was a construction foreman for Associated Natural Gas Co. before retiring in 1981.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Sikeston.

He married Lois Evelyn Hahn on Dec. 18, 1937. She survives.

Other survivors include two sons, Clark Fenimore of Louisville, Ky., and Fred Fenimore of Durham, N.C.; a sister, Venita Jaynes of Sikeston; and five granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by three brothers.
