IRA I. PARRISH

THEBES, Ill. -- Ira I. Parrish, 84, Thebes, Route 1, died Tuesday, Dec. 8, 1992, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Aug. 26, 1908, at Elco, son of Jasper O. and Mary M. Eagan Parrish. He and Virgie Beatrice Goodman were married Feb. 11, 1933, at McClure.

Parrish was a self-employed carpenter.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Clifford Parrish of Tamms; two daughters, Doris Hedrick of Thebes, Lavon Putz of Fruitland; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, and five great-stepgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sons, a daughter, a brother and two sisters.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel in Cape Girardeau. The Rev. Raymond Oxford will officiate, with burial in Lindsey Cemetery at McClure.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-9 p.m. today.
