SIKESTON -- Funeral service for Ira (Buster) Hill of Sikeston will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. Pat Hogan will officiate, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.

Hill, 78 years old, died Monday, Jan. 28, 1991, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

He was born Dec. 10, 1912, in Appleton, Ark., son of John and Etta Wiley Hill. He and the former Velma Summers were married Dec. 9, 1939, at Matthews.

Hill was a clerk and salesman 27 years with Crenshaw and Jack Frost Distributing Companies. He was a member of Shady Acres Church of Christ, and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Linda Hill of St. Louis, Kelley Holt of Sikeston; his mother of Sikeston; a brother, Jim Hill of Louisville, Ky.; five sisters, Amy Vest of New Albany, Miss., Wilma Kelley of Appleton, Imo Throop and Emogene Dollar of Sikeston, Ola Kelley of Essex, and two grandsons.

He was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
