PERRYVILLE -- Iona Brickhaus, 89, of Perryville died Saturday, March 20, 1999, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Perry County on Jan. 12, 1910, daughter of Amsirah and Louella Eddleman Hoffman. She was retired from International Shoe.
She had been a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and Ladies Sodality.
Survivors include two daughters, Doris Brickhaus and Susanne Clifton, both of Perryville; four sons, Richard Brickhaus of Texas, Larry Brickhaus of Wentzville, and Merlin Brickhaus and Wayne Brickhaus, both of Perryville; a brother, Nelson Hoffman of Perryville; two sisters, Leoda Buchheit of Biehle and Anita Ryan of Cincinnati, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and four step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother, two sisters and two grandchildren.
Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 6:30 to 9:45 a.m. Tuesday at Young & Sons Funeral Home. Parish wake will be held Monday at 7 p.m.
Funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery.
