PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Ina Foster Canter, 89, of Perryville died Thursday, Oct. 13, 2005, in Perryville.
She was born Dec. 23, 1915, in New Madrid, Mo., daughter of the late Ben and Ambrosia Tucker Hudson. She and Robert James Foster were married. He died Nov. 10, 1987. She and Edward Canter were married, and he died on May 25, 1996.
Canter was a retired nurses aid at Perry Co. Nursing Home. She was a member of Christ the Savior Catholic Church in Brewer, Mo.
Survivors include four daughters, Naomi Ziha of Chesterfield, Mo., Barbara Chronister of Hyde Park, N.Y., Betty Sutherland of Florissant, Mo., Ina Owen of Fenton, Mo.; a son, Robert Foster of Fairmount, Ind.; 16 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death her husbands, a daughter and two brothers.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 6:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. Wednesday at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. A Catholic wake will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Funeral mass will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Christ the Savior Catholic Church in Brewer with the Rev. Felipe Martinez officiating. Burial will follow at St. James Catholic Church Cemetery in Crosstown, Mo.
