EAST PRAIRIE -- Imogene Ray, 75, of Anniston died Saturday, Aug. 12, 1995, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Oct. 31, 1919, daughter of the late I.E. and Burley Pickett Spence. She lived in Mississippi County her entire life.

She retired from Brown Shoe Company in Charleston and was a member of the First Christian Church in Anniston. On March 19, 1938, she married Edward Ray Jr.

Survivors include five sons, Larry G. Ray Sr. and Tine Ray of East Prairie, David P. Ray of Brunswick, Ga., John Dee Ray of Anniston and Jerry E. Ray of Festus; a daughter, Karen J. Tatum of Anniston; a sister, Ruby Wise of Poteau, Okla.; 14 grandchildren; and many great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and a brother.

Visitation was held Sunday evening. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. today at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie with Martin Lucas officiating. Burial will be in East Prairie Memorial Park.
