EAST PRAIRIE -- Imogene Hunter, 88, of East Prairie died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 1999, at her residence.
She was born Nov. 11, 1911, at Charleston, daughter of W.M. and Laura Davis Townsend. She and Hal C. "Buster" Hunter were married April 16, 1938. He died Feb. 16, 1977.
She was a retired schoolteacher having taught in the R-2 school system several years. She was a member of the First Christian Church at East Prairie.
Survivors include a brother-in-law, Robert H. Hunter of East Prairie; and three sisters-in-law, Susie Aycock of East Prairie, Lela Hart of New Madrid and Ruth Wilson of Sikeston.
She was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers.
Friends may call after 10 a.m. Thursday until service time at the Shelby Chapel at East Prairie.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. at the chapel. The Rev. Fred Girdwood will officiate with burial in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
