EAST PRAIRIE -- Imogene Boyer, age 81 of East Prairie, died Friday, December 3, 1999 at Sells Rest Home in Matthews, Mo. after extended illness. She was born June 24, 1918 in Big Sandy, Tenn., daughter of the late Ernest and Mary Prince. She and the late Johnnie Boyer were married June 20, 1938...

EAST PRAIRIE -- Imogene Boyer, age 81 of East Prairie, died Friday, December 3, 1999 at Sells Rest Home in Matthews, Mo. after extended illness.

She was born June 24, 1918 in Big Sandy, Tenn., daughter of the late Ernest and Mary Prince. She and the late Johnnie Boyer were married June 20, 1938.

She had lived most of her life in East Prairie, and was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church.

Survivors include: 2 daughters, Mrs. Sue Gurley of Cape Girardeau and Mrs. Pauline Carter of East Prairie; 2 grandsons, Ed Boyer and Michael Martin; one great-grandson, Ed Boyer, Jr. and one great-greatgranddaughter, Jo-Dee Boyer.

Other survivors include: 2 brothers, Tommy Prince of Immokalee, Fla. and Hershell Prince of Branson, Mo.; one sister, Geneva Smith of East Prairie, Mo.

She was preceded in death by one son, Larry Boyer, one great grandson, one brother and one sister.

Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, December 5, 1999 at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.

Funeral services will be conducted by Brother Richard Farquhar at 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 6, 1999 in the McMikle Chapel.

Interment will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery.
