EAST ALTON, Ill. -- Imogene Ancell, 80, passed away Friday, March 24, 2017, at her residence. Born in Zalma, Missouri, she was the daughter of Carl and Minnie (Hogg) Berrong. She is survived by a son, Gary (Linda) Ancell of East Alton; daughters, Linda (Dennis) Roberson of Monett, Missouri, Darla (Terry) Powers of Advance, Missouri, and Cliffa VanDyke of Wood River, Illinois; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and sisters, Wanda Masters of East Alton and Beulah Staats Welker of Hazelwood, Missouri.. ...

Born in Zalma, Missouri, she was the daughter of Carl and Minnie (Hogg) Berrong.

She is survived by a son, Gary (Linda) Ancell of East Alton; daughters, Linda (Dennis) Roberson of Monett, Missouri, Darla (Terry) Powers of Advance, Missouri, and Cliffa VanDyke of Wood River, Illinois; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and sisters, Wanda Masters of East Alton and Beulah Staats Welker of Hazelwood, Missouri.

Her parents; husband, Clifton; two daughters, Earlene Militello and Darlene Carpenter; brother, Oriville Berrong; and two sisters, Odetta Masters and Linda Berrong, preceded her in death.

Burial will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Berrong Cemetery near Gipsy, Missouri.

Marks Mortuary in Wood River is in charge of arrangements.
