JACKSON -- Ima M. Seybold, 96, of Jackson died Tuesday, Jan. 6, 1998, at Heritage Gardens.
She was born Dec. 22, 1901, in Jackson, daughter of Jacob and Bertha Reitzel Friedrich. She and George Seybold were married June 14, 1922, at Jackson. He died June 29, 1977.
Seybold attended Southeast Missouri State University. She taught at Plainview School near Oriole and Whitewater.
She was a member of Emanuel United Church of Christ, taught Sunday School 70 years, and sang in the choir. She was a member of Lydia Kies Circle of the church, and had served as secretary, treasurer, and chairman of the circle. She was a charter member of American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include a sister-in-law, Ollie Friedrich of Jackson.
She was preceded in death by a sister and four brothers.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. today, and Thursday from 8:30-9:30 a.m.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Emanuel Church, with the Rev. Sam Roethemeyer officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
