ADVANCE, Mo. -- Ilene Hitt, 88, of Advance died Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2004, at Advance Nursing Center.
She was born Jan. 17, 1916, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Comelous and Althea Zimmerman Cox. She and Everett Hitt were married June 13, 1936, in Jackson. He died May 15, 2002.
Hitt was a member of Advance Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Survivors include a son, Lloyd Hitt of Brownwood, Mo.; two daughters, Eula Bowling of Dexter, Mo., Lois Tweedy of Cape Girardeau; a brother, C.G. Cox of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Virginia Smith of Advance; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, four sisters and two brothers.
Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Harold Althen officiating. Burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park.
