Idabelle Myers, 74, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, May 8, 2001, at Perry County Nursing Home in Perryville, Mo.
She was born Oct. 26, 1926, in Hardin, Ill., daughter of Fred and Euphia Grandsinger Thomas. She and Louis C. Myers were married Feb. 9, 1948, at St. Mary's, Mo. He died Nov. 7, 1998.
Myers had been a secretary at Southeast Missouri State University. She attended St. Mary's Cathedral.
Survivors include four sons, Clarence Myers of Festus, Mo., Fred Myers of Mobile, Ala., Norbert Myers of Perryville, Thomas Myers of Studio City, Calif.; two daughters, Brenda Curry of Lenexa, Kan., Linda Jensen of Schererville, Ind.; a sister, Wanda Hatton of Ste. Genevieve, Mo.; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends may call at Basler Funeral Home St. Mary's Chapel after 4 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Immaculate Conception Church at St. Mary's, with the Rev. Richard Kasznel officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
