HAYWOOD CITY, Mo. -- Ida Mae Wilkins, 54, of Haywood City died Friday, March 28, 2003, at the home of a sister in St. Louis.
She was born April 21, 1948, in Greenville, Miss., daughter of Mary Stevens and Wilber Moore. She and George Wilkins were married in 1971. He died in 1985.
Wilkins was a 1966 graduate of Scott County Central High School. She was a member of Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church and its choir.
Survivors include a daughter, Tara Wilkins of Cape Girardeau; two sons, Reginald Wilkins of Washington, Mo., Marcus Wilkins of Memphis, Tenn.; two sisters, Evelyn Harris of St. Louis, Ruth Wilson of North Hollywood, Calif.; four brothers, Earl and Rome Stevens of Haywood City, Lee Stevens of Worthington, Ohio, Mack Stevens of Rosharon, Texas; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, and a sister.
Friends may call after 11:45 a.m. Saturday at Morning Star Church.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Alex Sims officiating. Burial will be in Haywood City Cemetery.
Williams-Farr and Purnell Funeral Home at Sikeston, Mo., is in charge of arrangements.
