Ida Thompson

FREDERICKTOWN, Mo. -- Ida Agnes Thompson, 83, of Fredericktown passed away Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2010, at Stockhoff Nursing Home in Fredericktown.

She was born Jan. 31, 1927, at Bessville, Mo., daughter of Loyd Daniel and Martha Ann Cureton Masters. She and William Edward Thompson were married Aug. 1, 1968. He passed away Feb. 8, 2008.

Mrs. Thompson worked as a nurse aide at Madison Memorial Hospital. She was a member of TOPS, Madison County Saddle Club and Old Union Methodist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Cheryl Sitze of Marble Hill, Mo.; two brothers, Floyd "Tink" Masters of Georgia, Earnest Joe Masters of Fredericktown; a sister, Louetta Pazdernik of St. Louis; two grandchildren, Doug and Brian Sitze of Marble Hill; and six great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death was her husband, William; parents; and two sisters, Odetta A. Burnham and Iva Fiedler.

Friends may call from 3:30 to 8 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Patton, Mo.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Steven Koerner and Anthony Stewart officiating. Burial will be in Old Union Cemetery near Marble Hill.
