Ida Ronnebeck Thomas, 90, formerly of Cairo, Illinois, passed away Sunday, Feb. 25, 2018, at Monticello House in Jackson.
She was born Aug. 13, 1927, in Alexander County, Illinois, to John and Zada Smithey Ronnebeck. She and Wayne Thomas married April 25, 1942, in Charleston, Missouri. He preceded her in death Sept. 22, 2002.
She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include a sister, Doris Dickerson; a brother, John Ronnebeck; a daughter, Phyllis Halliday; two sons, Steve (Paula) Thomas and Chris (Carolyn) Thomas; four grandchildren, Elizabeth "Buffy" (Joey) Thurston, Blake (Heather) Thomas, Jarrod (Brandy) Thomas and Rebecca (Chris) Williamson; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Ida was preceded in death by her husband; two sisters, Helen Cooper and Virginia Pecord; and a grandson, Todd Thomas.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at Crain Funeral Home in Cairo.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. today at the funeral home, with the Rev. Robb Webster officiating. Interment will follow in Olive Branch (Illinois) Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Southeast Hospice or Cairo Public Library and will be accepted at the funeral home.
