MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Ida Ruth Rambo, 73, of St. Louis, formerly of Marble Hill, died Monday, March 19, 2007, at St. Alexius Hospital in St. Louis. She was born June 28, 1933, in Potrerillos, Chile, daughter of Felix and Gladys Whitely. She and Tommy Elwood Rambo were married Dec. 30, 1973. He died July 5, 1983...

MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Ida Ruth Rambo, 73, of St. Louis, formerly of Marble Hill, died Monday, March 19, 2007, at St. Alexius Hospital in St. Louis.

She was born June 28, 1933, in Potrerillos, Chile, daughter of Felix and Gladys Whitely. She and Tommy Elwood Rambo were married Dec. 30, 1973. He died July 5, 1983.

Survivors include a stepson, Richard Rambo of St. Louis; a stepdaughter, Diana Koch of Meta, Mo.; three brothers, George Whitely of Baxter Springs, Kan., Elbert Whitely of Phoenix, Ariz., Jim Whitely of Payson, Ariz.; a sister, Mary Henchell of El Paso, Texas; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter and a stepson.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. today at New Trace Creek Cemetery near Glenallen, Mo., with the Rev. Gene Robbins officiating.

Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill is in charge of arrangements.
