Graveside service for Ida Rose Bierschwal of Nevada, Iowa, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Park. Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
A prayer service was held Thursday at Chet Ryan Mortuary in Nevada.
Bierschwal, 97, died Wednesday, Oct. 21, 1992, at Story County Hospital Long Term Care Unit.
She was born Sept. 11, 1895, in Jackson, daughter of Charles and Anna Thoma Dankel. She and Clarence J. Bierschwal were married Feb. 12, 1920, at Jackson. He died July 11, 1954.
Bierschwal was head cook with Nevada School System, and a member of Nevada First Christian Church, Royal Neighbors, and Nevada American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include a son, Clarence Bierschwal Jr. of Columbia; a daughter, Virginia Bierschwal of Nevada; a brother, Albert Dankel of Cape Girardeau; two granddaughters, and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers.
