ANNA, Ill. -- Ida Thelma Modglin, 90, of Anna died Sunday, May 21, 2006, at Blanchette Place Care Center in St. Charles, Mo.
She was born Jan. 29, 1916, in Ware, Ill., daughter of Charles Fredrick and Cora Lee Batson Lowrance. She and Edward Daniel Modglin were married April 26, 1936. He died Oct. 23, 1991.
Modglin was employed many years at International Shoe Co., and 16 years at Union County Hospital. She was a member of Anna United Methodist Church, American Legion and Anna VFW auxiliaries.
Survivors include a son, Edward Modglin of Florissant, Mo.; a daughter, Barbara Prinster of Dardenne Prairie, Mo.; a sister, Edna Hess of Metropolis, Ill.; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a brother, a sister and two great-grandsons.
Friends may call at Hileman Funeral Home from 10 a.m. to service time Saturday.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Al Campbell officiating. Burial will be in Jonesboro Cemetery.
