EAST PRAIRIE -- Ida Mae Putnam, 63, East Prairie Route 2, died Wednesday, Jan. 17, 1996, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Sept. 28, 1932, in Crockett County, Tenn., daughter of Sam Cecil and Mary Elizabeth Dunaway Taylor. She and Leroy Putnam Sr. were married Sept. 19, 1953, in St. Joseph. He died in 1989.
Putnam had worked at Ann's Restaurant in East Prairie, retiring because of ill health. She was a member of Gospel Assembly Church.
Survivors include two sons, Leroy Putnam Jr. of Williamsport, Pa., Russell Putnam of Sikeston; a daughter, Betty Clemons of East Prairie; two brothers, Jim and Russell Taylor of East Prairie; two sisters, Mary Myers of East Prairie, Rosie Parker of Huntsville, and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother and two half brothers.
Friends may call at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie after 6 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with James Bolden officiating. Burial will be in Dogwood Cemetery.
